Introduce Yourself
Hello residents!
Our community forum is up and running! If you haven’t checked out the “Forum guidelines & community agreements” post please take some time to read through it this week.
We thought we’d take the first couple weeks to let everyone introduce themself and their work. Please write a few paragraphs about yourself. Start by sharing your name, pronouns, and where you are located. Consider including information about your background, what interests you in participating in this residency, what art and disability perspectives do you bring. (You're sharing things that are unique and personal about yourself but only share things that you would not mind sharing with fellow residents.)
If you’re not sure where to start, below are a couple (optional!) prompts to help you break the ice.
Share with your fellow cohort members some of your own reasons why you love Art and creativity.
What is inspiring you and your artwork right now?
Are there some specific reasons you are passionate about building a more accessible world? Who are the Disability activists or disability content (books, blogs, art projects, organizations, etc.) that you find inspiring and impactful?
There are a few options for introducing yourself on the forum:
Written post on the forum
A video link shared on the forum (please make sure your video has captions and/or a transcript)
An audio file linked on the forum (please make sure your posting also has a transcript)
Please review the Forum guidelines & community agreements post for some more information about adding video, audio, and images to your forum posts to ensure that all content is accessible.
