Overview
During our first community event, we will take some time to get to know each other and discuss the overarching themes of our residency. While most other community events will be an hour long, this gathering will include an additional hour, so we have ample time to answer questions and chat about our program plans.
The first hour of the gathering will include time for us to briefly introduce ourselves, discuss community agreements, and explore some of the topics we’ve been chatting about on our forum during the month of July.
After a short break, the second hour of the event will be an informal Q&A session. During this time residency can drop-in or out, as they wish; our leadership team will be around to answer questions and chat about ideas. If you aren’t able to attend the first part of the event due to the time, the second hour will also be a great opportunity to stop by and say hi!
All community events are optional, so don’t worry if you can’t make it! We will record the event, and post a video (with ASL and CC) a few days after the event.

Discussion Questions
How can the “Access is a Process” mindset help and/or hinder active steps towards a more accessible Arts world? How about in your own Arts community or creative practice?
What most excites you about creating iterative and interdependent (collaborative) artworks? What are your biggest concerns or reservations about integrating this into your art-making process?
What questions or ideas came to mind while you were considering these concepts?
