SDA Community Resource Center

Welcome!

Welcome Socially Distant Art Residents!

In our Community Resource Center you can find resources and updates related to our community. We have designed our program to be self-paced and accessed both synchronously (live workshops and community events via zoom) or asynchronously (event and workshop recordings, digital guides and articles, and flexible collaborative projects) so you can still engage with the residency while tending to your other personal and professional commitments.

Not sure where to find the info you need? You can read more about each section below, or feel free to explore! And don’t hesitate to reach out to our Leadership Team at Hello@SociallyDistantArt.org if you have any questions, comments, or ideas! Thanks!

Additional Community Resources

 Accessibility Workshops + Guides

Over the course of the residency, we will offer a variety of synchronous workshops and asynchronous guides exploring accessibility features in an arts context, along with other aspects of equity, inclusivity and intersectional Disability Justice in the arts. We will be posting these resources regularly, as well as sending notifications via Slack and email when they are added to the community site. Our Accessibility Workshops + Guides page will serve as a reference library, so you can revisit content whenever you wish.

Ways to Participate + Other Program Info

If you are looking for information regarding the structure of our program or ways to participate and collaborate within the community, you can find details outlined on our Program Information page. This page includes a month-by-month schedule of our synchronous and asynchronous content, a list of ways to engagement, and our program goals. Please don’t forget - you are a co-creator of this residency! If have ideas, feedback, or question, we want to know about them. We always welcome collaborative project ideas and suggestions for improvements to the program!

Community + Program Accessibility

Our goal is to use Universal Design for Learning principles throughout our program to make the residency as accessible as possible by default. We are still looking for solutions related to funding for accessibility features such as audio description, CART and ASL for all events, but finding a way to have to add these to our community events is our top priority. In the meantime, you can visit our Community + Program Accessibility page to find details about the accessibility features and Universal Design for Learning principles we are currently using throughout the program. We will also list access information in our event postings for quick reference.

Please feel free to contact our Leadership Team at Hello@SociallyDistantArt.org if you have any questions, comments, or ideas!
